EHS Project Specialist

We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Cork. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.



Duties:

  • Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and standards are incorporated
  • Implement ‘EH&S by Design’ & OneCSS as required for projects
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, 3D model reviews, JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments, FATs / SATs, and walkdowns as required
  • Support IA action closure & tracking
  • Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with PTW requirements, IED licence, SOPs & regulatory requirements.
  • Collating and reporting of relevant metrics / KPIs
  • Lead / participate in incident / accident investigations & root cause analyses (RCA)
  • PTW Improvements – work with other functions to drive improvements in the site PTW process
  • Provide EH&S project support for projects at the site.
  • Acts as an SME and advisor to all project teams on site in relation to EHS legislation and EH&S Standards.


Experience and Education:
  • A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS
  • 5 years’ experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position.
  • Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required.
