We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning medical device organization based in Cork. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.


Duties
1. New Inspection Technologies

1.1. Investigate & suggest a pipeline of inspection technologies to be implemented in our manufacturing plants to dramatically improve product Inspection costs &/or efficiencies for new and existing products

1.2. Drives complex or novel assignment requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, and/or scientific method to broaden Intellectual Property in key strategic areas.

1.3. Identify inspection technologies, which will enable new and disruptive product designs by reducing process capability constraints.

2. Emerging Product Development

2.1. Manage operational and process development activities for the development of innovative processes that facilitate the manufacture of Convergent Technologies (API, Polymer, Biologic)

2.2. Manage operational and NPD requirements to facilitate the manufacture of Convergent


3. Operations Development

3.1. Identify and establish a research capability platform that will enable transformational changes in process capability with particular focus on PAT, Automation and Inspection.

4. Business Results

4.1. Is acknowledged as a subject matter expert in a relevant technical field and influences associated site-wide technology planning

4.2. Provides guidance to product and technology teams


Education & Experience

  • Ph.D or relevant experience desirable
  • +1 years previous engineering experience within a Medical Device or highly regulated environment
