R and D Biochemist Career Profile
R & D Biochemist
This is another technical role, generally for someone with experience on the bench or in a related Biochemist role. The Biochemist is required to refine existing processes and products in line with customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Technical support and troubleshooting
- Manufacture coated microparticles and enzyme-antibody conjugates and the associated buffer formulations to GMP/FDA/ISO9001 requirements
- In-process testing Performance verification
- Validation studies
- Equipment calibration and maintenance
- Following and performing the creation, review and maintenance of SOPs and process specifications for cGMP lab systems in an FDA regulated environment
- Following and maintaining GMP and GLP standards
- Ensuring safe operations, attention to detail, and good documentation skills according to cGMP
Requirements
- A BSc in a relvant degree, often an MSc / PhD is required
- 3-5 years experience in the diagnostics or related industries (Pharma / Medical Devices)
- Excellent clinical chemistry knowledge
